Science Pub RVA: How Technology Changed Sports at The Capital Ale House

A former competitive cyclist and current Historian at Purdue University walks into a bar to share his research on manufacturing victory – the technological history of fast suits, athletic shoes, medicine, and more changing the games we love to watch and play.

Attend this Science Pub RVA program for drinks, camaraderie, a 30-minute talk and Q&A.

Presented by The Community Idea Stations’ Science Matters Initiative and VCU’s Science Technology and Society Program.

What To Expect
Theatre-style seating to accommodate a crowd • Sips of all sorts available for purchase • An informal 30-minute talk followed by a fun 30-minute Q&A
