Would you like to learn how to become a FrogWatch volunteer? Then this two-part FrogWatch training is just for you! Volunteers are required to attend both sessions and complete the frog/toad calls and monitoring assessment. Session one covers the mission of FrogWatch, amphibian natural history, ecology of wetlands and identification of frog and toad calls. In session two, we’ll learn about site selection, online registration and monitoring protocol. Participants must attend both sessions in their entirety and will be quizzed on monitoring procedures and frog/toad call identification. While FrogWatch is a great after-dark family activity for all ages, training sessions are designed for interested high schoolers and adults. Current volunteers are invited to attend either session; email us for additional information.

NEW! Monitoring sessions will be held after each training session as long as weather conditions meet monitoring criteria.
